Research on Promoting Carbon Sequestration of Urban Green Space Distribution Characteristics and Planting Design Models in Xi’an

Urban green space is considered to reduce the concentration of forcing factors climate change such as carbon dioxide in atmosphere. Promoting sequestration efficiency within a limited urban has become practical challenge that must be faced sustainability. This study proposed three design models and list high plants. Based on research distribution spaces, combined with field surveys remote sensing images, this analyzed main affecting sequestration. The results showed capacity tends decrease gradually along forest structure time series years 2000, 2007, 2014, 2019, trend was mainly related characteristic plant communities spaces: plants significantly positively correlated DBH (diameter at breast height) community density; hierarchical structure. In addition, we put forward sequestration, including Styphnolobium japonicum, Salix babylonica, Pittosporum tobira, Spiraea salicifolia, Iris pseudacorus, planting for different spaces habitats improve established carbon-fixing which can directly applied projects. It also explored sustainable approach ecological processes low-carbon cities.
